Routine Safety Inspection Checklist for Electric Forklifts(Figure1)

Electric forklifts are widely used in industrial warehouses, logistics distribution centers and manufacturing workshops for their low noise, zero exhaust emission and high operation efficiency. Regular routine safety inspection is the core premise to eliminate hidden operational risks, avoid unexpected malfunctions, extend the service life of equipment and ensure the safety of operators and surrounding personnel. Before each shift of operation, operators should complete a series of targeted inspection items step by step, instead of starting the vehicle directly. First of all, carry out the appearance inspection around the whole vehicle, check whether the body shell has obvious deformation, scratch or damage that may affect the structural safety, confirm that the tire pressure is within the standard range, and there is no serious wear, crack or foreign matter embedded in the tire tread, check whether the operation warning light and the surrounding reflective marking are complete and clear, and confirm that the fork, gantry and chain structure of the lifting part have no crack, abnormal deformation or loose limit device. Next, open the hood to check the power system, confirm that the battery connection terminal is firm without looseness, oxide accumulation or liquid leakage, check that the power line surface has no broken skin, exposed copper or serious aging phenomenon, confirm that the battery liquid level is within the specified safe scale, if it is a lithium battery system, check that the heat dissipation structure of the battery pack is unobstructed without accumulated sundries. Then enter the operation cab, first confirm that the parking brake is in the locked state, then insert the key to turn on the power, check whether the dashboard displays normally, whether there is any unprocessed fault code prompt, test the flexibility of the steering system, the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal, confirm that each operation part responds sensitively without lag or jamming, test the normal work of the horn, front and rear lights, reversing prompt sound and other safety warning components, check the adjustment flexibility of the seat and the safety belt for no damage or failure. After the above static inspection is completed, carry out a low-speed no-load test drive in a safe open area nearby, test the forward and reverse movement function, the lifting and tilting function of the gantry, confirm that the brake distance under low speed is within the safe range, and there is no abnormal noise, abnormal vibration or peculiar smell in the operation process of the whole vehicle. All inspection items should be recorded truthfully after completion, once any hidden danger is found, the vehicle should be stopped for maintenance immediately, and it is strictly forbidden to operate the equipment with faults. If you need professional customized inspection training and supporting maintenance services related to electric forklifts, you can send an email to 17399989919@163.com for consultation. Jianshu New Energy has been focusing on the supporting service of new energy industrial handling equipment for many years, and the supporting safety inspection system of BYD Forklift also provides very valuable reference for the daily standardized operation of most enterprises. Enterprises should formulate corresponding inspection management system according to their own actual operation scenarios, regularly carry out safety operation training for operators, and effectively implement the daily safety inspection work, so as to create a safer and more efficient operation environment for the whole logistics handling link.
